Additional Information

Homeschool 101 is September 18th.  Sign up on the GEH calendar!

From some of our special speakers:

Shannon homeschooled her two daughters all the way through high school for a total of 15 years.  The most important lesson she learned along the way was to not be so tied to her planned academic schedule so that she could maximize opportunities to discuss things weighing on their heart (esp in the teen years!) or include activities in an area of interest to them.

My husband, Glenn, and I were blessed to home-school for 24 years. Through homeschooling four children, God taught me perseverance and patience. Our goals were that they follow God with all of their hearts, learn to love learning, be equipped to do all God created them to do, and develop close relationships with family.

Homeschool 101 is the perfect opportunity for homeschool newbies, as well as veteran homeschool parents, to gather together and glean from a panel of seasoned homeschool moms.  Wondering how to fit in all the subjects or homeschool 4 kids at a time or what to do when your child just won't sit still long enough to do one subject?  These moms will answer your questions and give you lots of tips and tricks along the way.  I promise you will walk away with plenty of gleaned knowledge to be confident in your homeschool, have a successful school year, and maybe even make a new friend or mentor!

Lite refreshments will be available.
