Additional Information
Here is a wonderful opportunity to let your representatives know that there are a WHOLE bunch of us:) We're watching and listening and voting! It was the Homeschool Moms from the past who worked diligently to get the laws in place for Homeschoolers of NC. What a legacy to follow! Let's not be content with where we are, but be proactive in protecting the rights that have been established and building relationships with those who are new to their offices. As well as those still in place. Bring some goodies and thank yous for their service to the public.
This does not have to be an all day event, but if you want to talk with representatives, morning is the best time!

Capital Fest
Held every two years in Raleigh during the long session of the North Carolina General Assembly. NCHE arranges a special day full of activities for NC homeschoolers to meet with their legislators, attend special workshops on North Carolina’s legislative, executive and judicial systems and enjoy museums. You don’t have to be an NCHE member to attend this event. The workshops are lectures, and the speakers know that they will be speaking to students of all ages.
